Pre & Post-Natal Pilates
Pilates is a great way to keep active during pregnancy and help prepare your body for childbirth. The body goes through so many changes during each stage of pregnancy and my classes focus on safely strengthening the body, with emphasis placed on the pelvic floor, core strength and managing aches and pains from the added weight of the baby.
Pilates is safe to do right up until birth and the pace will adapt as your pregnancy progresses. These classes are suitable for second and third trimester.
After birth, Pilates is a great way to ease your body gently back to health. These classes will focus on the principles of Pilates with a particular emphasis on strengthening and mobilising the lower abdominal region, pelvic floor and postural changes. You are welcome to have your baby with you during the session.
Currently I offer pregnancy classes on a private and semi private basis only.
